Three Letter Acronyms (TLA)

YAF

Today's TLA is Yahoo! AT&T and Flickr.

I logged in tonight to see my Flickr account and it prompts me that I have the free account. I have had a Flickr Pro account since October 2006 and I bought the 2 year subscription so it is suppose to end at October 2008. This is all too complicated, but this is really annoying the heck out of me. Apparently if you have a AT&T DSL account and Yahoo! account this sinister corporation will include a Flickr Pro account. However I bought a 2 year Flickr Pro account independently from this fancy plan. So now, I moved and no longer in need of the AT&T DSL account. I got a prompt saying that I need to unmerge my AT&T DSL account with my Yahoo! account so I did. But this "unmerge" event triggers some DB to turn off my Flickr Pro account. This is bad because, this corporation should know that I already payed for my 2 year Flickr Pro account seperately from the AT&T DSL account. I am thinking of moving photos into facebook, picasa, or some other site. I am just having a bad taste in my mouth with AT&T, Yahoo, and Flickr. Web 2.0 still has bad bugs from like Web 0.2 (alpha).

Jonathan
